What you get for $5 a month

A quick start. Room to go deeper.

01 / BEFORE THE MATCH

Start with the briefing

A short opening brings a few match readings together. See the reasoning and its limits before exploring the full report.

02 / EVERY COVERED FIXTURE

Find the games you follow

Go straight to a fixture in the report. The reading, team context, supporting evidence and reasons for caution sit together. No extra tier to unlock the full analysis.

03 / THE NEXT MORNING

See what happened

The results edition puts the original readings beside the final scores. Misses stay visible, alongside what could and could not be checked.

Try it before subscribing

Read the work.
Then decide.

Read three complete match readings in the current style, with the opening briefing and fixture index.

The sample is free. A subscription brings the fresh analysis and results review to your inbox each day, with the full reports attached. Social posts show selected cards; the email brings all covered fixtures together.

The sample uses archived pre-match information and refreshed wording. The source dates and original archive editions are on the sample page. Daily coverage varies with the fixtures and available evidence.

Before you subscribe

A few useful answers.

When will my first email arrive?

Once Buttondown confirms your paid subscription, you join the next scheduled edition. Results arrive by 7 am London time and analysis by 9 am, all year round. The times above adapt to your local time zone. Email arrival can vary slightly by provider.

Which matches are included?

Coverage depends on the fixtures and sufficient data across our supported domestic and continental competitions. The briefing names the fixtures it covers; it does not promise every match in world football. See the leagues and sources.

How is this different from the social posts?

Social posts show selected cards. Your subscription brings the complete daily analysis and results editions together in your inbox, with the full reports attached. There is no higher tier for the remaining covered fixtures.

Are the forecasts certain?

No. Each reading is an assessment from the available evidence. A likely result can fail, and sometimes the evidence is too close for a call. Read how the analysis works.

How do I stop paying?

Use the Buttondown subscriber portal to manage or cancel your subscription, or the Unsubscribe link in an email. Buttondown normally stops the emails and the renewal together. Check your cancellation confirmation; if billing still appears active, contact us so we can reconcile it.
